For children with autism the human voice is very annoying - A study conducted by scanning the brains of autistic children showed reason do not like verbal communication. These findings suggest that the human voice for children with autism can be very disturbing and unpleasant.

Scan of the brain showed that autistic children did not show the same sense of fun with kids their own age who do not have autism when listening to the human voice. On the network showed a weak association between the human voice to the part of the brain associated with 'pleasure'.

"When speaking, we do not only with information, but also emotional and social cues," said lead researcher Daniel Brams from Stanford University, as reported by U.S. News.

These results were found after researchers did brain scans on 20 children with autism with 19 other children who do not have autism. They found that despite their IQ, ability to read and write normal, most children with autism are still difficulties reading social cues or emotional in direct conversation.

While this study suggests that this is related to brain function associated with sound reception with functions of the brain associated with pleasure. In children with autism, the relationship between the two brain regions are very weak, weaker than normal children. for that, children with autism often feel disturbed by the noise around it and have a hard time to communicate verbally.

Even so, scientists will conduct further research to see if there are other reasons that affect children with autism to have difficulty in communicating verbally. Researchers also not sure whether the results of this study can be used to develop therapies in children with autism.
