Based on the research in the journal JAMA Internal Medicine, researchers found that eating one tablespoon of vegetable oil can reduce the risk of death from prostate cancer by 29 percent and 13 died of other disease risk.

Approximately 4,577 prostate cancer patients involved in this study. Researchers also hope this discovery can be used as a guide for prostate cancer patients to keep daily food consumption.

Vegetable oil is far more healthful than oil made from animal fat. Some examples of vegetable oils are olive oil, canola oil, almond oil, avocado oil and fruit seeds.

As reported by the Daily Mail, the study also proves that daily nut consumption have reduced the risk of death from prostate cancer by 18 percent.

"Consumption of foods that enhance both the antioxidant in the body and lowers insulin and inflammation. That is to say nuts and vegetable oils are the right foods to fight prostate cancer," said researcher Dr. Erin Richman, from the University of California at San Francisco.
