Prevent tooth decay by drinking milk every morning

Prevent tooth decay by drinking milk every morning - A study says that kosumsi cow's milk can prevent cavities after we eat high sugar foods, for example, is a breakfast cereal.

On a small study in Chicago, as many as 20 respondents were included. They were then asked to enjoy a bowl of sugary cereal and then drink milk, water, or apple juice.

During before and after the experiment, the researchers also measured levels of acidity in the teeth. Acidity itself is often used as an indication of the cause of tooth decay. High acid levels are usually produced by active bacteria on the teeth after you eat sugary foods.

The result, among the three types of beverages tested, milk is the best option to ward acidity caused by bacteria.

"Milk and sweet foods is the best combination to prevent cavities," said the researcher, as quoted by Medical Daily.

Meanwhile, fresh fruit and other fruit juice should not be consumed after enjoying breakfast cereals. Because the combination of these foods actually trigger high levels of acidity and create cavities.

"Our advice is milk should be consumed every morning if you are a sweet breakfast cereal. Suggestion is especially true for children so that their teeth maintained their health," says researcher again.

In addition to preventing cavities, milk is also often mentioned as a drink that strengthens teeth because it contains high calcium.

The results subsequently published in the Journal of the American Dental Association.
